About Divisional Charts in Vedic Astrology
Divisional charts (Varga charts or Amsha charts) are a cornerstone of Jaimini and Parashari Vedic astrology. They are derived by mathematically dividing each of the twelve zodiac signs into equal sub-sections, creating specialized charts that reveal the finer details of a birth horoscope.
While the D1 (natal chart) gives the overall picture of a life, each divisional chart focuses on a specific domain — wealth, siblings, children, marriage, career, spirituality, and more. Reading multiple divisional charts in conjunction provides a holistic and accurate analysis.
