How your birth numbers are worked out
Birthday number (moolank)
Take the date of birth 12 May 1995. This is the day of the month, reduced to one digit. The day is 12, and 1 + 2 gives 3. The Birthday number is 3. If you were born on a day from 1 to 9, that digit is your Birthday number.
Life Path number (bhagyank)
Reduce the day, the month and the year separately, then add and reduce again. The day 12 gives 3. The month 5 stays 5. The year 1995 gives 1 + 9 + 9 + 5 = 24, and 2 + 4 gives 6. Then 3 + 5 + 6 = 14, and 1 + 4 gives 5. The Life Path number is 5. Adding every digit of the date in one go, 1 + 2 + 0 + 5 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 5 = 32 and 3 + 2 = 5, gives the same result.
